While Travis Scott should be gearing up for the release of his Astroworld album that’s set to be released this Friday, the “Antidote” emcee has been caught in the middle of a social media debate about his album art.

After debuting his album art on social media, fans quickly accused La Flame of being transphobic once they noticed that legendary transmodel Amanda Lepore was missing from the album cover.

When artist David LaChapelle, who posted the original edit to his Instagram, was asked about the difference in the final edit, he shot down claims of Travis being homophobic and simply admitted that Amanda “just upstaged everyone.”

Despite the drama unfolding online, Amanda Lepore shared her feelings on being edited out of the highly anticipated album’s cover in a statement to TMZ. “A girl can’t help it! I’m too distracting for the eyes! I upstaged everyone in the photograph… Oh well … I love David LaChapelle and Travis Scott! Love and kisses,” she said.

Take a look at what social media had to say about the removal of trans icon Amanda Lepore from Travis Scott’s album cover below:
