The ‘Deadpool’ actor apparently got the wrong message about the dress code for a Christmas party and shows up in the wrong costume, much to his friends’ amusement.
Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal have joined forces to prank their friend Ryan Reynolds. The “Safe House” star revealed that he became the laughing stock of “The Front Runner” actor and the “Spider-Man: Far From Home” actor after wearing the wrong costume to what looks like a holiday party.
Ryan took to his Instagram page on Thursday, December 20 to share two photos from the occasion. In the images, he sported an ugly Christmas sweater while the other two actors wore their normal, casual outfits.
The Canadian hunk showed no expression as he seemed to be not thrilled at all, while Hugh and Jack laughed at him. In the caption, Ryan revealed that he got tricked into wearing the ridiculous outfit by his friends. “These f***ing a**holes said it was a sweater party,” so he claimed.
Hugh and Ryan have been having a social media banter for some time, mainly due to the later’s persistent effort to convince the Australian actor to reprise his role as Wolverine. Hugh has several times stated that “Logan” marked his final appearance at the clawed mutant and he has no intention to reprise the role, even for a cameo in a “Deadpool” movie.
Just two days ago, Hugh once again trolled Ryan for allegedly not being nice to his wife Blake Lively when visiting Hugh’s coffee shop, Laughing Man. In a photo he posted on Instagram, the “A Simple Favor” actress looked frustrated at her husband, who gave her an annoying look.
In consolation to the “Gossip Girl” alum, Hugh offered her free coffee every time she visits Laughing Man. The 50-year-old actor wrote in the caption, “Our policy at @laughingmancoffee is to make customers happy – not drive them insane (exhibit A = @vancityreynolds). @blakelively your coffee is on the house … forever.”
