Posting two photos comparing the Yeezy founder and the Australian singer’s floating glass box prop, she accuses the former of stealing her signature stage.
Kids See Ghost, a hip-hop duo which consists of Kanye West and Kid Cudi, made its live debut at Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles on Sunday night, November 10. For their first performance together, the two belted out their songs inside a rectangular glass box that reminded many concertgoers of Lorde’s signature stage design.
It obviously didn’t go unnoticed by the Australian singer, as she took to Instagram Stories to accuse both Kanye and Cudi of stealing her stage alongside two photos comparing the similar set. The only difference between them is the fact that Kanye and Cudi were both in the box, while Lorde let her backup dancers move around inside the glass box as she stood in front of it.
Despite the difference, no one could deny that the glass box itself were strikingly similar to each other, and Lorde wasn’t happy about that. Without mentioning both hip-hop stars, the “Royal” singer wrote, “I’m proud of the work I do and it’s flattering when other artists feel inspired by it, to the extent that they try it on themselves.” She added, “But don’t steal – not from women or from anyone else – in 2018 or ever.”

Kanye, whom Lorde previously dubbed as her “idol,” has yet to respond to the accusation.
During Kanye and Cudi’s 45-minute set, the duo belted out songs from their debut album as well as Kanye’s “808s & Heartbreak” track “Paranoid” and Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness”. Despite the eye-popping stage, the Yeezy founder seemed to be struggling since he appeared to run out of breath and seemingly forgot his lyrics a few times.
Other performers who graced the stage at Tyler, the Creator’s annual festival included Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, Lauryn Hill and Pusha T.
