In the Christopher Jackson and BeBe Winans-featuring song released on December 20, the former president can be heard reciting George Washington’s famous speech.

AceShowbiz –
Lin-Manuel Miranda has released a new “Hamilton”-themed song featuring former U.S. President Barack Obama reciting a famous speech by American founding father George Washington.

The “Hamilton” creator shared a link to the song on Twitter on Thursday, December 20, followed by a picture of himself at the piano with the former president, with the politician stood next to him with his shirt sleeves rolled up.

“One Last Time (44 Remix)”, part of Miranda’s monthly HamilDrops series, features a spoken word interlude from Obama who recites a speech from the first President of the United States, Washington.

Washington’s address is considered one of the most important documents in the country’s history and was published as he neared his second term in office before retiring.

The song also features Hamilton star Christopher Jackson, who played Washington in the show, and gospel singer BeBe Winans.

The “Mary Poppins Returns” star, who wrote and starred in the multi-award winning play, and the cast of the award-winning show performed One Last Time for Obama at the White House as he neared the end of his eight years in office in 2016.

Hamilton, which debuted in 2015, was inspired by the 2004 biography of Alexander Hamilton, another U.S. founding father.
