Along with actress Sofia Helin, the ‘Twin Peaks’ star will make an appearance as the 32nd U.S. President in the Alexander Eik-directed historical drama series.
Actor Kyle MacLachlan is heading to the White House to portray U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt in a new historical drama series.
The “Twin Peaks” star will appear as the 32nd President in “Atlantic Crossing”, featuring opposite actress Sofia Helin as Norwegian Crown Princess Martha, who fled her native country following the Nazi invasion in 1940 and took refuge in America.
Her special relationship with Roosevelt is said to have played a big role in the leader’s eventual decision to involve the U.S. in World War Two.
The true story will be explored in eight episodes of the Norwegian TV drama, written and directed by Alexander Eik.
Production on “Atlantic Crossing” will begin in December, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
