With Julie Chen returning as the host, season 20 of the CBS reality show features all-new houseguests.

Summer comes with a new season of “Big Brother“. Season 20 of the CBS reality show aired its first episode on Wednesday, June 27 and saw Julie Chen returning as the host as well as featured all-new houseguests.

Among the houseguests were Sam, Tyler and Bayleigh. Sam is a full-time welder from Stuarts Draft, Virginia, who’s living in a camper in her mom’s yard, while Tyler is a 23-year-old lifeguard. As for Bayleigh, she is a flight attendant from Atlanta, Georgia. She was the first African-American woman to become Miss Missouri USA and placed in the top ten at Miss USA 2017.

Steve, a retired undercover detective who now teaches criminal justice, joined Kaitlyn, Winston, Angela and JC. Kaitlyn is a certified life coach, while Winston is a medical sales representative from Bowling Green, Kentucky. Both coming from California, Angela is a fitness model and JC is a professional dancer.

The episode also introduced Rachel, an entertainer from Las Vegas, former college basketball player Chris a.k.a. Swaggy C and Angela Brooke Lantry a.k.a. Rockstar, who is a stay-at-home mom from Columbia, Maryland.

Cybersecurity engineer Brett was later introduced. Rounding out the current season’s cast were 26-year-old shipping manager Scottie, who claimed that he’s never been kissed nor had a girlfriend, women’s professional football player Kaycee, college student Hayleight and substitute teacher Faysal.

Right in the beginning, some houseguests showed interests in each other. Rachel seemed to be having a feeling for Winston. Meanwhile, Faysal had his eye on Haleigh, who also felt the same way.

However, they were forced to put aside the romance after the first challenge was announced. Whoever won the challenge, which was pretty tech-tacular, would get to choose 8 houseguests, including themselves, safe for one week. The B.B. Supercomputer crashed before the challenge started, separating the HG into two groups. Tyler, Bayleigh, Brett, Rachel, JC, Winston and Angela succeed to escape the house in the first challenge with Angela going to the final challenge.

Angela faced Swaggy C in the final part of the competition. The latter won, earning the privilage to save seven other houseguests. He chose Rockstar, Brett, Rachel, Scottie, Haleigh, Kaycee and Faysal. With that, the other 8 houseguests were in jeopardy.
