The production of the ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ sequel is pushed back several months, which means the actors, including Ezra Miller, will have to adjust their working schedules, too.

Fans may have to wait a little longer before “Fantastic Beasts 3” hits cinemas. Production for the third movie has been pushed back several months from the original plan to start in July of this year to late autumn, possibly in October or November.

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has decided to adjust the schedule in order to give the “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” sequel more time for pre-production. While the studio is usually eager to bring big movies as soon as possible, they’ve decided not to rush with the production of “Fantastic Beasts 3” after the pre-production of “Crimes of Grindelwald” came down to the wire.

While the delay of the “Fantastic Beasts 3” production doesn’t hint at any setback in the development and won’t affect the release date since no date has been set for the third movie just yet, this will affect the schedules of the cast. Actors have been alerted about the production push back to adjust their working schedules, which in Ezra Miller’s case means his other WB film “Flashpoint” will have to wait several months again.

The standalone The Flash movie has faced setbacks several times after losing its directors. “The Lego Movie” filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were at one point set to direct the film, but had to let go of the superhero movie because of their already packed schedules.

Seth Grahame-Smith later came on board the project, but departed in April 2016 due to “creative differences.” Rick Famuyiwa was then tapped as a replacement, but also exited in October 2016, citing a similar reason. In January this year, WB finally found the new director in “Spider-Man: Homecoming” scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

In October 2018, reports emerged that the script was not ready yet and still being tweaked, making it impossible to start the production as scheduled in the spring. At the time, it was believed that “Flashpoint” production would have to wait until Miller finishes shooting “Fantastic Beasts 3” which was predicted to start in July of this year.

With the delay in “Fantastic Beasts 3” schedule, The Flash movie production may also start later than expected, unless it’s ready to let the cameras roll in the summer, which gives it only a few months left for pre-production.

Ezra Miller’s The Flash has been introduced in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” with a short cameo appearance, before teaming up with Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) in 2017’s “Justice League”.
