Taking to Twitter, the former Disney darling shuts down all reports about her recovery journey and promises to tell fans what really happened when she’s ready.

AceShowbiz –
Demi Lovato has had enough of reading reports about her journey to recovery. Taking to Twitter on Friday, December 21, the former Disney darling shared a series of messages blasting tabloids which reported false news of her treatment and recovery, urging them to stop publishing stories about it.

“I love my fans, and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read. People will literally make up stuff to sell a story. Sickening,” so she began her lengthy posts, before explaining how she would always tell her fans first if “I feel like the world needs to know something.” She added, “Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME.”

If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF. Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine. I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME ✌?— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) December 22, 2018

In another tweet, Demi promised her fans that she would give every details about her overdose and recovery when she’s ready to do it. “I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened, and what my life is like today,” she said. “But until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up s**t you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal…”

Addressing numerous news of her recovery, the “Camp Rock” star stated that none of the stories were true and any source who claimed to be close to her “isn’t actually a part of my life.” Demi wrote, “Most of the s**t I see is sooooo inaccurate. So newsflash: your ‘sources’ are wrong.”

Any “source” out there that is willing to talk and sell stories to blogs and tabloids about my life isn’t actually a part of my life because most of the shit I see is soooooo inaccurate. So newsflash: your “sources” are wrong.— Demi Lovato (@ddlovato) December 22, 2018

“I would love to set the record straight on all the rumors out there but I literally don’t owe anyone anything so I’m not going to,” she continued. “All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself. I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support.”

Demi concluded her posts by expressing how blessed she was to be able to “take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready.” She then thanked her fans by saying, “I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so f***ing much. Thank you.”
