Voicing similar denial to the fall out rumors are Mabuse herself and a spokesperson for ‘The Greatest Dancer’, wherein the two serve as dance captain alongside ‘Glee’ actor Matthew Morrison.
Cheryl’s (a.k.a. Cheryl Cole) representatives have denied she has been feuding with Oti Mabuse, a fellow judge on her new TV show “The Greatest Dancer”.
The British popstar is to judge the BBC contest as a ‘dance captain’ alongside Oti and “Glee” actor Matthew Morrison, but a source told The Sun that all was not well behind the scenes ahead of the programme’s January (19) debut.
However, Cheryl and her team have responded furiously to reports she and the former “Strictly Come Dancing” professional don’t get on.
“It’s a fabricated story – yet again trying to pit female against female on a TV show,” a spokesperson for the 35-year-old told the Daily Mail. “It’s a shame we haven’t moved past this. Cheryl absolutely loves working with Oti and has a brilliant relationship with her.”
Oti has also personally denied she and the “Call My Name” hitmaker are at loggerheads, adding, “I love Cheryl and had a great time filming ‘The Greatest Dancer’ with her and I can’t wait to see her again soon.”
A spokesperson for the show also slammed the claims, saying, “Both Cheryl and Oti have a great relationship and this comes across on screen. There is absolutely no truth to any suggestion they don’t get on.”
The Sun editors had claimed Oti was bemused by Cheryl’s “diva” behaviour on set, citing comments from a “well placed source.”
“Cheryl clearly sees herself as the bigger name, even though Oti has impeccable dance credentials,” the insider told the publication. “It’s created a real atmosphere. Cheryl arrived with such an air of superiority – a few of the crew thought she was being a bit of a diva.”
The latest story comes just weeks after the singer, who has a 20-month-old son with One Direction’s Liam Payne, angrily denied another story in The Sun claiming she had behaved arrogantly at the Hits Radio Live gig last month.
She was accused of blocking other stars from the area around her dressing room – claims her representatives and Hits Radio bosses denounced as inaccurate.
